Welcome and thank you for coming to the Tim Sprinkles for City Council, District 5 campaign website. I am a candidate for election to the Camarillo City Council. I am running for City Council because I am convinced that Camarillo is on a perilous course and I have a clear vision and strong feelings about what must be done to right that course. I feel I am obligated to do all I can for the city I love. The election is scheduled to be held in November 2022, and I will need your support!

"Some men see things as they are, and say why. I dream of things that never were and say why not."
- Robert Kennedy
I do not run for City Council merely to oppose any person, but rather I run to share my vision for the future and propose new ideas and policies.
Camarillo currently faces serious social and economic challenges, the continuing decline of its manufacturing base, the loss of good-paying jobs, an escalating cost of living, a major housing crisis, and the loss of its remaining open space. On Camarillo's current path we can expect the vast majority of new jobs to pay less than the living wage and only a small minority of residents will be able to afford to buy a home.
This economic scenario condemns most of Camarillo's young people to a bleak future of economic stagnation and dwindling financial resources. There is no question that our children are our greatest asset for the future of our community. Unfortunately, we stand to lose most of them as they are forced to seek good employment elsewhere. This is unacceptable. As a united and committed community, we can change our path from economic decline to broad prosperity. I believe we can hold on to the values we cherish and build a better Camarillo for our children.
"Every generation inherits a world it never made; and, as it does so, it automatically becomes the trustee of that world for those who come after. In due course, each generation makes its own accounting to its children." - Robert Kennedy
Camarillo is at a crossroads. There is a choice our community must make now, a choice that lies not merely between two candidates, but a choice between a robust future and economic stagnation, between greatness and decline, between the blessings of progress and the stale past of normalcy, between a determined dedication and a creeping mediocrity. Our community and our children's future wait on our decision. They look to see what we will do. We cannot fail their trust, we cannot fail to try.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
Come join me on this journey, together there is nothing we can not accomplish. All that we must do may not be finished in the next four years, nor even in our lifetime, but let us begin
