Regardless of how we feel about it, Camarillo is changing. We the people need to take control of that change. Camarillo currently faces serious social and economic challenges, the continuing decline of its manufacturing base, the loss of good-paying jobs, an escalating cost of living, a major housing crisis, and the loss of its remaining open space. On Camarillo's current path we can expect the vast majority of new jobs to pay less than the living wage and only a small minority of residents will be able to afford to buy a home.
